Furry Adventures in February

Writer: jes vasquezjes vasquez

Like most of America, I was looking forward to Sunday, February 9,

but for a different "big game;" The Puppy Bowl!!

Tom and I went to 2SP Brewing in Aston, PA, to watch the game

with beer lovers and dog lovers.

The best part: we watched it with Saquon Barkey who played in the Puppy Bowl last October before being adopted by a local family!

He has been part of the playoff celebrations throughout Delaware County, and the whole bar cheered when Saquon (since renamed Nemo) came on the TV screens!!

Understandably, Saquon was very modest, and is probably relieved that his 15 minutes of fame has come to a close and he can live the rest of his days as Nemo.

The Philadelphia Eagles were sponsoring adoption fees at Providence Animal Center through their playoff season.

One of the 205 pets who found their home during this time is Llama Mama!!! It was a bittersweet day when I learned the news.

It was always a good day when I could take Llama Mama out of the center for a few hours,

watching her enjoy a seat on a bench, a chair, or my lap, giving no mind to other dogs, squirrels, or birds,

and excited to meet all the humans.

I am thrilled Llama Mama has a home, and I am excited to start the adoption mission

with another regular at Providence Animal Center (PAC).

I attended the Glenolden Elementary School's Family Bingo and Raffle event

where I had donated a raffle basket from my business, and I won a spa package!!

I look forward to donating to more events like this!

Lastly, I ended the month with trivia night at The Boozy Mutt

in Brewerytown, Philadelphia.

This indoor-outdoor off-leash dog bar is great for dog lovers and pet parents.

While I highly recommend this venue, the quizzo is no joke!

Team Biiiig Stretch did our best, but no gift card prize this time.

While you're planning your spring calendar,

be sure to check out my calendar and book some dates for your pup!

I still have openings in my weekly walking calendar.

Day boards/Overnights: March is nearly all booked!!

Still available: March 3, 4, and 7;  April 1-5,13-23, 28-30.

There is no such thing as booking too far in advance.

I look forward to hearing about the adventures you take with your pups this season!
