In looking to make friends and form community, I've started planning activities throughout the year, and whether you are looking to make friends or just get off your phone for a few hours, I hope you'll join me!
I started my business while living in South Philly. I moved to Delaware County (just a few minutes from the PHL airport) in 2023 and realized that it's been a minute since I've had to make an effort in finding community! My city friends are now a car drive away, and while we make it work with our monthly dinner dates, I feel like I've been pushed out my comfort zone. And that's not a bad thing! It's always good to take on a challenge and grow.
Moving outside of the city meant finding clients again, and I did that so what's next?!
Growing my community, my way!
*NOTE: While I promote these gatherings through my business outputs, these events are not exclusive to my clients!!!
Animal Lovers Book Club

This February, I hosted my first book club discussion for animal lovers!!
I’ve really enjoyed reading non-fiction books about human relationships with dogs. As someone whose only pet is a fish, I wanted to expand this form of community to those who love animals and want to learn more about them, like me!
For our first selection, we read “in the shadow of man” by Jane Goodall, and chatted about how young Jane was when she followed her passion to Africa, and how much she may have affected the chimps’ environment with her presence.

Now, we are reading “inside of a dog” by Alexandra Horowitz. This is a book that I’ve read multiple times to remind me how dogs function or “work.”
I’m excited to hear what others take away from it, what stands out and sticks with them.
Our discussion about “inside of a dog” will be Wednesday April 29, 6pm, at the Ridley Township Library (100 E Macdade Blvd, Folsom, PA 19033) in the common area.
The great part about a non-fiction book club? If you don’t finish the book, you can still come to the discussion because there are no spoilers like a typical narrative book!
Join our Facebook group Animal Lovers Book Club, DelCo to keep the conversation going between discussion dates. Share your book recommendations and photos of where you are reading! Animal photos are always accepted, too, of course!
Yoga in the Yard returns May 1!
Last year, I partnered with Yogi Colleen Williams for two yoga sessions in my backyard.
We had a small group each time, enjoying an hour of mindfulness. This isn’t your typical balance-focused yoga because Colleen has taken the yard terrain into consideration.
That take on the class really opens this event to anyone vaguely interested in yoga, even if they aren’t a downward dog pro! For example, my parents joined our last session, and Colleen was very supportive of them doing whatever felt right, even if that meant laying on their mat and enjoying the ambiance like my dad did.

So we’re doing it again!! Join us Friday, May 1, 6pm, at my home in Glenolden. Bring a yoga mat, water, and $20 for Colleen.
Register at this link; my address is in the registration form.
Those are the two events coming up soon, and there will be more!!
Comment below, sharing how you would like to grow your community!
Maybe that looks like...
crafting large bead collars for your dog or cat to meet other pet parents,
a potluck dinner to meet other foodies,
or a nature walk to touch grass!
I look forward to growing community with you in 2026! Let’s go!!!
