OOTD: Pet Care Pro version!

aspiring or new pet care providers: this one is for you!
as a full time pet care pro, my work attire is not the most flattering; i choose comfort over style. it's a great motivation to wear anything other than a t-shirt when i'm not working, and my feminine style is still on point with my nails! i've been using Dashing Diva nail strips for an easy touch of glam that stands the test of pets! i've also been treating myself to a spa pedicure at Glenolden Nails once a month! to anyone on their feet a lot: take care of those feet, get pampered! the spa version includes hot stones and a cooling lotion plus the massage chair, of course! share your favorite pedicure spot in the comments!
speaking of taking care of my feet, one tool i use year-round is shoe insoles!! and i go through them! i typically go for the Dr Scholl's that will cover the full interior of my shoes. I've tried just the heel and it's not for me. you'll see more about my choice of shoes in the weather break downs. since we just survived a heat wave, i'll start with warm weather!
WARM WEATHER
i love SKECHERS slip ons because they have cute and comfy options for my wide feet. comment if you face that wide shoe struggle!! if you live in Delaware County and are looking for shoes, there is now a Skechers store at Springfield Square Central

i typically wear long pants to avoid scratches from dogs who love to greet me with their paws, at least mid calf length. pants with side pockets are the best invention ever, especially because smart phones have some weight to them so if you wear a fanny pack cross body style (with the strap on one shoulder) you can feel that added weight through the day; i'm convinced that this is why i had nerve pain on my shoulders, but thankfully i happen to have a masseuse on speed dial! keeping the phone in a side pocket keeps that weight off your upper body and your phone accessible for those cute pics!
i haven't reached the point of wearing long sleeves so while i use SPF 50 sunblock on my face, neck, arms, and ankles, my arms are still the darkest part of my body! i am interested in skin protection ware, though, so if you have any recs, you know what to do!
of course, a hat comes in handy for extra sun protection. i'm usually wearing my WeRateDogs visor!
RAINY WEATHER
i have a BLACK DIAMOND rain jacket that is water resistant, breathable, and pink, of course! i love to get anything other than black whenever i can because i want to be visible to drivers and pedestrians while walking.
thankfully, the medium width CHOOKA rain boots fit my wide feet and my insoles!
COLD WEATHER
i'm in the market for snow boots so share your recs for something i can slip on and off; that feature is important when going in and out of clients' home with a wet or dirty shoe!
gloves that are compatible with your phone screen come in handy on those frigid days!
ski coats are the best option because their bold designs make you easy to spot during the day, they don't restrict movement, they're built for the cold temps, and they have lots of pockets! you can find some that come with removeable layers like an interior that can be used alone as a light jacket. a bonus perk is that you are now ready for the slopes!

NIGHT TIME
i know this isn't weather, but i have to share that being visible at night is so important! i use an oversized high visibility vest that fits loosely in the summer and over my coats in the fall and winter. it has plenty of pockets for treats, poop bags, and my phone. wearing this vest is a game changer because i feel much safer, especially when i have to walk where there are no sidewalks but there is car traffic, and also to be visible by other neighbors who are walking. if you can wear some kind of lights, like led ropes, that's an added bonus!
